An Indian man has called his parents to bring him into this world "without his consent".

Raphael Samuel, 27, said his parents did not create him for him, but "for their joy and enjoyment". He compared children to "abduction and slavery".

Samuel, a self-styled "anti-Natalist" in India, believes that procreation is a "supreme act of evil" and that a life that has not given its consent to life should not be brought into the world.

Raphael said in a conversation with The Print:

I love my parents and we have a great relationship, but they made me happy and enjoyable. My life was amazing, but I do not understand why I should make another living through the rigmarole school and looking for a career, especially if they did not ask to exist.

Raphael from Mumbai runs the Facebook page Nihilanand, where he shares many pictures and asks his followers why they live.

One of his post is:

Your parents had you instead of a toy or a dog. You owe them nothing. They are their entertainment.

In another picture he writes:

The only reason your kids have problems is because you had them.

In another he asks:

Does not a child force you into this world and then force you to kidnap and slavery?

The anti-natalist movement has developed in India as younger people try to resist the social pressures of having children.

Bengaluru's 26-year-old Pratima Naik, who heads the anti-Natalist movement and is committed to never having children, supports Samuel's beliefs.

He said:

We do not want to force our faith on anyone, but more and more people need to think about why it is not right to have a child in the world.

On his Childfree India page, Pratima Naik wrote last month:

Should we continue to bring more children to this world and accelerate the process of environmental and social degradation?

Do you think that existence is pain, and if you do not bring a child into this world, is this a guaranteed way to avoid unnecessary suffering for the child?

We are a group of people who have decided not to reproduce themselves. We are childless Indians!

Activist Alok Kumar, 34, has launched a YouTube channel to raise awareness of child-free life. He decided to remain childless after deciding that the world is not a senior place for family education. He is now looking for a woman who, like him, does not want children.
