Fulham has completed the commitment of Liverpool's winger Lazar Markovic by the end of the season with a free transfer.

Liverpool signed the Serbian winger for 20 million pounds from Benfica in 2014, but he could not break into the first XI under Klopp.

Markovic has been out of action for the Reds since May 2015 and has been on loan to Fenerbache, Sporting, Hull City and Anderlecht since his last Liverpool debut.

Liverpool hoped to relieve the 24-year-old from his £ 50,000 salary a week.

A club statement from the cottagers read: "Fulham received very good recommendations from Aleksandar Mitrović regarding the player.

"Markovic made his breakthrough at Partizan Belgrade, where he was a Mitrović teammate and was named in the SuperLiga team of the season in each of his two full and title-winning first-team campaigns."

Club co-owner Tony Khan added, "Lazar Markovic is a talented young player. We are happy to welcome him from Liverpool for the rest of the season. Lazar is known as a great teammate, he has the support of our manager and he has the knack of strengthening our attack. Come on, Fulham! "
