The world has not gone completely SUV crazy just yet. Korean car blog has a source with some information about Hyundaispecifically with regard to sonata, The next generation limousine will allegedly build a longer roof and expand the European lineup of the automaker to a full-fledged station wagon.

If you read this in Europe and are surprised at all about the sonata, this is another interesting piece of news. Hyundai goes the same way as other manufacturers by driving globally with selected models. In this case, the Euro-Spec i40, which already shares its platform with the Sonata, will be eliminated in favor of the new car. Throughout Europe, especially in Germany and Scandinavia, estate cars are still very popular, and it seems as if Hyundai want to take a piece of the action.

The next generation Sonata sedan is currently under development, although admittedly many prototypes have not been tested in public. The vehicle was renewed in the model year 2018, so that the Sonata of the next generation is probably still in the early test phase. We caught one heavily disguised prototype as early as June (top and top of the page), this indicates some significant changes in the overall appearance of the sedan. If there ever was a time to add a combo to the mix, that would be the case.

Unfortunately, wagon fans in the United States will almost certainly miss the fun. In the North American market, the sales of SUVs in the double-digit range, while the sales of sedans declines just as quickly. Given the recent announcements of both ford and General Motors To drastically reduce the production of sedans, it could be lucky that the next generation sonata, even in limousine form, will become state-owned.

A certain timeframe is known neither for the Sonata sedan nor for the car. It is expected that the sedan will arrive as Model 2021 in 2020, with the car possibly starting at the same time.
