Deji Adeyanju was imprisoned in Keffi Prison just under 24 hours after his release.

Adeyanju was in trouble with the authorities when he held a protest last Wednesday against alleged police roles in the foreclosure of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.

He was arrested along with two other activists, Daniel Abobama and Boma Williams, and charged at the Karshi Magistrates Court, which detained them at Keffi Prisons in Nasarawa State.

The defendants were convicted of criminal conspiracy, public harassment, disturbance of public peace and public security threats, criminal defamation and derogatory behavior against the competent authority and the violation of law and order in accordance with §§ 96, 113, 114, 152, 183 and indicted 391 of the Criminal Code.
