Former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink says the blues do not need to panic despite Tottenham's 3-1 spanking on Saturday.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink warned fans not to press the panic button for less than an impressive performance, despite a 3: 1 tandem hammers in the hands of Tottenham.

Hasselbaink admits that it was a disappointing performance, but it would be wrong to read too much into the result.

"We have to remember that they played 12 games, that's the first game they lost," he told Sky Sports.

"Yes, they did not play well in the previous two games, but this is the first game they have lost.

"There is no need to panic, it would always happen. It's just a pity that it was against Tottenham and that Tottenham played so well.

"But there are no problems, there is no problem at all. Sarri came in and totally changed it, it's a process. "

Games against Wolves and Manchester City follow, and Hasselbaink says the "blues" need to rediscover their form earlier than later.

"They have to get back on track, they had a beating and have to win against PAOK," he added.

"Of course he will let a few players rest in this game. Then at home they play Fulham, who has a new manager, a manager who knows Stamford Bridge very well.

"It's going to be a tricky game, it's a derby, so he has to score three points and start.

"It's that simple. Forget Manchester City, because that's three more games away.

"It's PAOK, it's Fulham, bringing back the confidence and foundations that have been so good in the previous games."
