All 18 finalists deserve to be Miss Nigeria 2018 – but only one can take the crown at the Grand Final on Sunday
While all 18 women nominated as finalists for the 2018 Miss Nigeria Grand Final will have everything they need to win the crown, today's final on Sunday will be followed by a reigning queen, Mildred Ehiguese.
Ehiguese won the 2017 edition.

The event will take place tomorrow (25th November) at the Eko Convention Center of Eko Hotels and Suites Victoria Island, Lagos.
The 18 finalists, selected from 40 applicants, were selected in October from the nationwide Lagos (West), Owerri (East) and Abuja (North) auditions. were unveiled on November 12, at an event held at 7 Square Restaurant in Victoria Island, Lagos State.

The project coordinator of Miss Nigeria 2018, Chioma Nwigwe, said about the selection process:
"The selection this year was very rewarding despite the hardships. Apart from their looks, each of these unbelievable ladies brings something unique to the table and we can not wait to see which of them wins the crown. "
Prior to the beauty contest, the organizers said the competition had emerged in 1957: "In response to the realization that young Nigerian women, given the right platform, can positively impact society, make positive change and inspire other young women at home and abroad, the continent.
"Therefore, the organization has constantly selected young women who are beautiful, intelligent, socially responsible and committed to serving humanity
"The position of Miss Nigeria is a job and the title holder is actively working to benefit and nurture society. Our target areas are Education, Environment, Art & Culture, Financial Management and Health.
"On this basis, we are constantly looking for exemplary leadership, intellectual depth and passion in emerging queens. We value fairness and transparency, as our winners are always created through fair, standardized and transparent processes. "
