The President of the Nigerian Senate, dr. Bukola Saraki, believes that the country can fulfill its destiny, if it can get rid of corruption.

He says so in his speech in the 7th Zik Lecture, which took place on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

Saraki advocates the effects that the late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe on his country, and notes that tackling the corruption problem in Nigeria can help establish a standard for other African countries.

"When I think of his heritage (Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe), I'm actually humble. and it is a great honor to conduct this event today.

"If we listen to the 7th Zik lecture given by the main keynote speaker, we should once again commit ourselves to defeating the monster of corruption in our country. and set a standard for all of Africa.

"By freeing our cancerous tumor management system from corruption, this land can grow to meet its true destiny, as it was intended by the Founding Fathers, one of whom was the great Zik of Africa."
