We have not seen much of the born again TVR GriffithThat's why this new Avon Tires video is so beautiful. There is not a whole lot of action and in less than a minute it will not shake the automotive landscape on YouTube. However, it's especially enjoyable for those who love the deep growl of a V8, and few automakers like it better TVR – past or present.

Watching this video reminds us how little we have seen of this car, let alone the reborn TVR company. Our first taste of the Griffith came just over a year ago Goodwood revivalwhere we learned all about the Griffith bones. Despite eleven years absence, it seemed to be where they left off, especially with a clumsy front-mounted V8 dropping into a lightweight chassis adorned with a few bodies.

But we have to confess. The engine was just right – with a Cosworth-matched 5.0-liter V8 from Ford delivering 500 kW (373 kilowatts) of power, it's hard to make a mistake, and the video proves the Griffith's power does not hurt. The chassis is also quite light and weighs just 1,255 kilograms with a perfect 50:50 weight distribution. The carbon fiber body certainly helps, but we can not help but feel it not quite as great as we would like of something that carries a TVR badge. It's not bad at all, but we'd rather be more eccentric to find this dirty soundtrack. Nevertheless, two out of three points are not bad.

Hopefully, the 500 people who pre-ordered the TVR launch edition dig up the entire package. The cars will be delivered next year, and although we have not heard anything about the progress of these fresh Griffiths, we follow that No news is good news Mantra.
