President Muhammadu Buhari said yesterday that Nigeria will emerge strengthened from the parliamentary elections of 2019.

According to the president, over the years the nation had been able to weather the storm only through God's intervention.

Buhari, speaking at the National Assembly's prayer breakfast bursaries at the annual breakfast prayer session, said that despite the prophecies of doomsday, the country has hired the problem and becomes wealthier.

He pointed out that while prophets of the doomsday predicted that the country would plunge into crisis, a major rebirth would be experienced in Nigeria in 2019, especially after the polls that many unpatriotic critics believe would be in crisis.

The president, represented by the secretary of the Federation of Governments (SGF), Boss Mustapha, stated that God is with Nigeria, which is why the country is progressing despite several problems.

"God is with Nigeria. 2019 is to bring in a new Nigeria. God will answer our prayers when we look at him, "the president prayed.

He assured that his government would continue to promote peace and good governance, adding that Nigeria, with its continued blessing for the country, will experience better days in its political and economic life.

The hope for the rebirth of a new nation in Nigeria can only be realized if people in high positions reject dubious tendencies for the interest of the state as a whole.

He said that as the leader of the nation, he always seeks the use of Almighty God for Nigeria in all areas of his national life.

President Buhari also called on Christian legislators and other leaders to embrace unity in all its implications, pointing out that this would create a new Nigerian nation.

Speaker of the House Yakubu Dogara said in his Goodwill message that Nigeria can overcome its many challenges through constant prayer.

Dogara explained that Nigerians can use collective prayer to change the country's story and fate.

In his sermon, the guest speaker, Apostle Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, said that God is about to raise divine leaders for the land.

Inspirations and references from biblical quotations, especially Isaiah 40:46, Jeremiah 33:25, 2 Chronicles 20: 35-37, and Joshua 10: 1-9, said that political leaders must renounce rude statements about the commonwealth.

The cleric pointed out that the parliamentary elections in 2019 would surprise the nation, as God will use his divine mantle to select good and divine leaders for the nation.
