One of the first major projects of the Adam's Oshiomhole Administration was the rehabilitation of the Kings Square, Benin City, also known as beltway,

Before that time, the ring road and the adjoining roads were in terrible conditions. There were motor parks at each intersection. This resulted in heavy traffic jams. There were garbage heaps on the streets, and walking along the ring road was scared of robberies and pickpocket activities.

To restore the beauty of the ring road, Oshiomhole plundered all the motor parks around Ring Road, including the one owned by Chief Osamede Adun popularly known as Bob Izua,

Oshiomhole reconstructed all roads that led to the ring road to expressways. These streets were equipped with sidewalks and street lamps.

Worth a fountain N200Million was built on the ring road.

The ring road became a beautiful sight. The street lighting on Ringstrasse has restored people's confidence that they can walk through the area without fear of being robbed.

Today, the ring road quickly returns to its former state.

The money to beautify the place seems to be wasted. Workers who used to be busy watering grasses and flowers are nowhere to be seen.

The gardens around the ring road are unattended. Gardens created before institutions such as the House of Assembly, the Central Hospital and First Bank are neglected.

Rails built in many gardens were destroyed. Many of the flower pots in adjacent streets are without flowers. The sidewalks in the adjacent streets now serve as landfill.

Most affected is the epicenter of the ring road. This place is home to the Benin National Museum. There is the well built by the Oshiomhole administration.

The water well, which once attracted thousands of seekers to the ring road, has completely decayed.
