It's hard to find a PHEV with a smaller battery than this one.

The Porsche 918 Spyder is a specific plug-in hybrid, as the owners (only 918 were made) are not likely to be particularly interested in the purely electrical sector.

The point was just to improve the performance by adding the electric part of the powertrain, and that's what we should look like. Electric cars will simply be faster in every way in the future.

Here is another episode of Fully Charged, which was able to drive with Nico Rosberg in the two-seat 918.

"Okay, so it's not just an electric car, it's a plug-in hybrid. It can really only drive 16 miles electrically.

Okay, no normal road is driven.

But when Nico had offered to take Jonny for a round, it seemed weird to say no. "

Porsche 918 Spyder spec:

  • 6.8 kWh battery Pack
  • 16 – 31 km (10-19 miles) the purely electrical range
  • 0-100 km / h in 2.6 seconds or 6.2 seconds in pure electric mode
  • 0-100 km / h in 7.3 seconds
  • Top speed of 345 km / h or 150 km / h in all-electric mode
  • System output: 887 hp (652 kW) at 8500 rpm from 4.6 l V8 engine 608 hp (447 kW) and two electric motors 286 hp (210 kW)
  • Weight: 1674 kg
