The government of the state of Enugu has denied the rumor that after the parliamentary elections of 2019 the tricycle movement in the country, popularly known as "Keke", should be banned and claims that there is "no truth".
In a statement by State Transport Commissioner Vitus Okechi, the state government described the claim as "false and unfounded," stressing that "there is no such plan."
The Commissioner said that "the state government has underlined its confidence in the leadership and membership in the Tricycle Transport Union Association in the state of Enugu", adding that it "continued to have friendly relations with them
