Ford Kuga production in Valencia

MADRID – Ford will discontinue production at the Spanish plant in November due to lower demand for nine days.

The engine production will also be discontinued next month for 13 days, a company spokesman said. Part of the Spanish production of Ford engines is sent to Canada to assemble its Edge model.

After a three-day shutdown in October, the last production standstill comes.

Ford employs around 7,500 workers at the Almussafes plant near Valencia.

The factory builds about 1,840 cars a day. The vehicles produced are the Mondeo midsize cars, S-Max and Galaxy's big minivans, Kuga utility, Tourneo Connect van and Transit Connect van, respectively Automotive News Europe Guide for European Asmounting systems,
