A Vice-Candidate of the All Progressives Congress candidate in the next governor election of the State of Lagos next year has emerged.

Femi Hamzat, former construction and infrastructure commissioner for construction and infrastructure in Lagos state, has been a candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the state governorate of Lagos next year.
Hamzat, who wanted to become governor twice, resigned for Sanwo-Olu to appear as candidate of the party before the primaries. He also served as Commissioner for the Ministry of Science and Technology in Lagos from August 2005 to June 2011.
He announced and wrote the development in a post on his official Facebook page, "In our collective determination to take Lagos to higher altitudes, I offer to serve as Vice-candidate and to complement the Lagos APC Governorship candidate, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, by completing the INEC nomination form.
"The progress and development of Lagos is our shared vision and with all your support and your election mandates in 2019, the dividends of democracy will be passed on to all the Lagos."
