Good coffee, regionally brewed beer, lush greenery, atmospheric rain, handmade cucumbersThese are a few things that come to mind in the Pacific Northwest. When I visited Portland, Oregon, for the first time last year, I found all these things true. I also discovered a city with a thriving food scene focused on conscious growth and food. and a friendly, fun-loving place with a multitude of adventures. I immediately felt at home.

Since I only had a few days in the city, I could barely cover the basics (Voodoo donut and Hale Pele, anyone?). But I've already started planning my trip back.
