Heineken Lagos Fashion Week (LFW) returns for the eighth season from October 24th to 27th 2018 .

The biennial show, which takes place in Africa's largest city, has become an integral part of the global fashion calendar. Each year, the tents of Lagos Fashion Week buyers, media and fashionistas welcome the collections of young, emerging and leading designers from all over Africa.

Lagos Fashion Week is a leader in initiatives to support, empower and develop the fashion industry. Beyond the runway, the annual event provides a platform that is gradually repositioning fashion as a useful tool for trade and creativity in Nigeria.

This year, Lagos Fashion Week uses its annual Fashion Focus program to promote its work and commitment incubator support for emerging talents with the launch of Fashion Focus Africa. Founded in 2011, Fashion Focus (formerly the Young Designer of the Year) seeks to discover new talent and accelerate growth over a twelve-month period through mentoring and awarding a grant through the Fashion Focus Fund. This program, previously open only to Nigerian talents, will now leverage applications from across Africa

The Fashion Focus City Tours, which provide lectures in various cities, are supported by leading industry experts for emerging and emerging talent, expanding into other pan-African regions, an organic orientation with the introduction of Fashion Focus Africa. Tour locations include: Abuja, Enugu, Ghana, Lagos, Nairobi and Port-Harcourt

  • Green Fashion Access – A competition aimed at Nigerian students to highlight the need to make sustainable choices in the Nigerian fashion industry while discovering raw fashion talents
  • Graduate Fashion Exchange – A series of wor kshops aim to empower fashion photographers and filmmakers in the Nigerian fashion scene
  • SHF Presents – Following our success last year, in cooperation with Nigeria Export Promotion Council, our access to Market Initiative in London, New York and 19659005] Milan
  • Africa House New York – An Initiative by Pangolin LLC – Africa House is a weeklong member club that hosts a vibrant network of politicians, thought leaders, business people, entrepreneurs, artists and designer, who all benefited from the economic, social or cultural development of Africa are.
