In the next few years, Mercedes-Benz will begin shipping its first all-electric C-segment car. Following the Concept EQA last year, it is currently under development, and to promote it, the German brand has incorporated the fully operational concept into the rural landscape of Sicily. Unlike many concept cars, the EQA is indeed running and its futuristic design contrasts the island's rugged coastline and classic architecture. Even if you're not a fan of electric vehicles, it's hard to deny that Merc's concept has an appealing exterior design that should be more than enough to attract customers.
Mercedes-Benz still needs to close specifications for powertrain The production car, but the concept boasted more than 270 hp and came with a permanent four-wheel drive and a 60-kWh battery with a range of about 248 miles (400 km ).
Last month, Mercedes had a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed that the EQA is being built at his plant in Hambach .
The EQA will be the second vehicle to be launched under the EQ label following the footsteps of [EQCEQCCrossover. By 2022, more than eight more vehicles will be added to the EQ family, including smart models and large SUVs.
