The federal government has asked Nigerians on Tuesday to travel to Russia in order not to flee during or after the 2018 World Cup.
Solomon Dalung, Minister of Youth and Sports spoke to journalists in Abuja.
Concerning fears of trafficking in space, Dalung said that no one should travel to the World Cup without the approval of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking (NAPTIP).
"What we have done to ensure that each group of travelers submits the list to NAPTIP and you can not travel without authorization.
" In recent days, NAPTIP has massively arrested people who violate the rules of trafficking. "And that has confirmed our fears that there are so many people who do not travel to support the Super Eagles, but that they want to embarrass the country in Russia," he said.
Dalung further appealed to fans not to embarrass the country, adding that NAPTIP's sister agency in Russia is on alert for this type of people.
