We have known for some time that Kia would expand the Ceed family by adding even three new versions, possibly even an SUV.
One of the versions that was confirmed, this is a stylish fastback that should give the entire Ceed series a distinct style boost – a recipe similar to that of Hyundai at the launch of the new i30 Fastback . 19659003] These are the very first spy recordings of a Ceed Fastback prototype, and despite the heavy camouflage, there are a few things that are worth pointing out.
It could rather be a Shooting Brake If you look closely at the i30 Fastback, it's obvious that Hyundai is focusing on a rear-end design that's more sporty than elegant. In the Ceed prototype, the rear end looks a little less daring, with possibly more space between the rear axle and the tailgate.
Could this new version have anything to do with the Proceed Concept from last year's Frankfurt Motor Show? We will know when the camo comes.
Other design advances include the slightly sporty side skirts, the fake exhausts, the very aggressive 18-inch wheels, and tail lights that seem to resemble those on the tailgate, rather than the BMW-like
Same song and dance
Inside, this new Ceed version should be identical to the 5-door and Sportwagon, meaning a floating-style infotainment display plus high-end features such as heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, dual zone climate control, wireless charging for Qi-standard smartphones and many advanced driver assistance systems
Regarding its engine range, it should reflect the regular Ceed, which was 1 , 0-liter and 1.4-liter turbo petrol engine with 120 hp (118 hp) or 140 hp (plus 138 hp) plus 1.6 means-liter of CRDi diesel, either with 115 hp (113 HP) or 136 PS (134 HP) While it is possible to see the new Kia Ceed Fastback / Shooting Brake at this year's Paris Motor Show in October, a 2019 unveiling can not be ruled out.
