The Shiite group has resumed its protest against the continued imprisonment of its Islamic movement in Nigeria's leader Ibrahim El-Zakzaky. One person was reportedly shot dead by security forces during the protest.
The protesting group has paralyzed activities in the federal secretariat, Abuja, a few meters from the National Assembly and Presidential Villa.
Protesters armed with stones chased away a police team and overturned a traffic control center on the street.
According to reports, they also violated the Federal Department of Police Crime after asking them to stop harassing motorists
