BikeWale reports that bookings for the Norton Commando 961 have begun. The British bicycle manufacturer will sell its products through Kinetic Group's MotoRoyale.
The booking amount varies from dealer to dealer. Some traders accept INR 2 lakhs for bookings, while other traders reportedly ask for 50% down payment, which is about INR 12 lakhs. The bike costs 23 lakhs according to INR. The bicycle enters the country via the CBU route and its delivery is reported to begin by the end of June. It was reported in November last year that Norton is bullish about the Indian market . The brand has teamed up with MotoRoyale in a 49:51 joint venture. The brand's CKD products are expected to hit the market by the end of 2018 and expect prices to become relatively more competitive. The bicycle manufacturer will assemble its products at the Kinetic plant in Ahmednagar.
