Vu Technologies today announced the launch of three 4K smart TVs in India, running on a licensed version of Android Nougat 7.0. The Vu Official Android TV comes in three sizes – 43-inch, 49-inch and the top-end variant, which comes in a size of 55 inches.
As far as pricing is concerned, VU has decided to compete very competitively with the 43-inch variant at a price of Rs 36,999. The 49-inch version costs 46,999 rupees and the 55-inch model returns you with Rs 55,999. All three televisions will be available for sale exclusively on Flipkart from 16 March.
The highlight of Vu's official Android TV series is that they are running on Android. This allows users to access the Google Play Store and a number of other integrated apps, such as YouTube and Google Games. In addition to Google, Vu has also established a number of Video on Demand service providers such as Netflix Hotstar and ALTBalaji to provide users with direct access to content.
The company has also integrated a Chromecast  into the TV, giving it the ability to broadcast content across all three variations. Vus ActiVoice, which controls the TV, also allows users to search, browse and select options in up to 88 languages.
Vu claims that each of the variants features a first-class A + Grade IPS panel with a 16GB storage capacity and a quad-core processor. The front-facing dual 10-watt soundbar supports DTS TruSurround and Dolby Digital, which are designed to provide good sound quality on paper.
