CARLISLE, PA – Corvettes in Carlisle will build America's symbol of freedom with America's sports car, the Corvette. The tradition continues on Friday, August 24 as part of a red-white-blue greeting to our flag, our first aiders and the Corvette hobby itself.
For the first time since 2015, the flag is always back a popular feature of the Corvettes in Carlisle, presented by Corvette America. During World's Largest Corvette Show 23.-26. August the flag display is only Friday and consists of 150 corvettes that cover the history of the brand. The design of the display is also no easy task. While there are around 57 red corvettes, 51 white and 35 blue corvettes, Corvettes also receives nearly a dozen silver cars (the flagpole) at Carlisle to round off the flag design.
The flags are built between 10 am and 2 pm and it is a sight to behold. The flag will remain in place around 4pm . Available with countless photo ops everywhere. Once the flag is laid out correctly, guests will see a true greeting of red, white and blue!
"Each year, we receive inquiries as to when we will organize another American flag," noted Carlisle Events co-owners and Corvettes at Carlisle Event Manager Lance Miller. "It takes a lot of time and patience for the car owners and our staff, so we do not try every year, but this year we were forced to rebuild an American flag from America's favorite sports car, the Corvette," Miller continued. "This display always looks fantastic and really gives you goosebumps when you see it in person, this year will be no exception!"
