BMW has just launched its second generation X4 SAC which is for sale from March 2018. The new mid-range crossover coupe builds on the design of the first generation, but brings some new design features especially at the rear

The tail lights are now narrow and wide, what BMW calls "three-dimensional design". The rear deck has a rather large spoiler, giving the X4 a distinctive sporty look, even for non-performance models. However, one can not help feeling that it looks a little too much like the Mercedes-Benz GLC Class Coupe

While the exterior of the two cars is incredibly similar, the interiors of both cars follow different philosophies. The BMW X4 transmits its sportiness to the inside, where it is easy and to the point. The quality is high quality and the design is sharp and in our opinion more elegant and sportier than the first generation X4. The interior design carries some of the cues that have been seen in recent BMWs, giving the car an overall luxurious look.

The cabin of the GLC Coupe is a completely different animal. The fit, workmanship and materials are absolutely first-rate and aim to immediately inspire the more conservative Mercedes owners. Touch everything and everywhere in the cabin and you'll encounter soft, rich materials, whether leather, wood or metal. It's a wonderfully thought-out cabin, and the final choice between the two is taken to your personal preference.
