Only 3,000 units of Demons' annual 840-hp Demons sold in the US

A dealer group in Michigan auctioned the purchase rights for a 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and garnered a total of $ 14,700 for local charities

Bill Marsh Auto Group of Traverse City, Michigan, said it would sell the White Knuckle Demon for $ 1 below the sticker price. Only 3,000 units of annual 840-horsepower demons are sold in the US, along with 300 in Canada.

"I did not come here to win," said Ted Parrott, the highest bidder. "I'm just a big car lover, I can not believe it."

Mike Kent, marketing director at Bill Marsh, told Automotive News last summer that the auction sparked a problem for the trader without trade who upheld the integrity of the one-price when the value of the car goes beyond its price.

The money raised will be distributed evenly to the Father Fred Foundation, the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Michigan, the TC Patriot Game and the Toys for Tots Foundation, the dealer group said.
