You would have urged hard to find a kitchen in which there is no coffee. Whether beans, earth or instant, we love our coffee. It's great to drink, but why not try to cook with it? Here are some recipes that contain coffee in its many forms. We tend to combine coffee with something sweet – it goes well with chocolates and cream – but slate bean coffee gives a recipe an earthy, smoky complexity. You've heard of coffee ice cream, but what about a coffee bean dip? I do not think so.
Rub beef ribs in coarse ground or salt a chicken in its broth. Coffee is an essential element in sauces or spice blends. That said, coffee is delicious in desserts as well, so we've also thrown some sweet recipes. Brew a helping drink, but do not forget to save something for dinner or dessert!
