Engineers from Mercedes-AMG were discovered testing a prototype for an updated version of the C43 sports sedan.
C43 replaced the C450 for the 2017 model year and is offered starting at just over $ 50k. It's one of the tamer "AMG Sport" models offered by the Affalterbach tuner, and like others in the "43" series, it comes with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6, the 362 PS spits.
For the updated model, probably in 2018, as a 2019 model, the spy shots suggest improvements to lights and bumpers at both ends and a completely new grille with a twin-blade design. There may also be new designs for the wheels and exhaust tips.
We can not see in the cabin, but we're expecting some improvements as well. One possibility is that the car will adopt a digital instrument cluster as in the E-Class and above, as well as the upcoming next generation compact series .
Which is not clear, whether there will be significant changes in the powertrain department. Mercedes has begun to replace its current V-6 engines with a new new Inline-6 design with electric compressors, although the new engine will not become the C43 until the next generation. The first model to receive the new engine is the recently released 2019 CLS . We should know 2018 closer to the unveiling of the car.
This update is designed to refresh things as the current generation of the C-Class reaches half its life cycle. The car was introduced for the 2015 model year so we should see in the Mercedes tradition the updated version introduced for 2019. Prototypes for the updated version of the standard C class were also discovered ]
